Nello Novela plays original songs which are an impressive mix of his musical roots and all kind of Western influences. His rhythms, melodies and harmonies reach back to jazz, funk, afrobeat, electro and rock, merging into authentic multi-styled compositions.

The songs consist of melodic lines, interesting rhythms, breaks and surprising beat changes, with lyrics in Portuguese, English, French and Xangana. His wide-ranged silky voice shows strong musicality and great energy, which brings characteristic sounds from nature and daily life. 

Nello Novela carries out workshops to all kind of groups and ages.

Nello Novela worked and performed with artists in contemporary dance and theaters as a sound designer, dancer and musician. Together with the dance company Cie ZeitSprung (Zurich) and others. They carried out performance acts in Europe and Asia. 2018, the company was honoured with an award from the city of Zurich for its engagement.

Nello is always  interested to collaborate with other professionals in dance, music and theater.
